Privacy Policy
Effective: 29 May 2020 · Last updated: 10 April 2026
Your privacy is important to us. It is DDEMON Studio's policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you across our website, https://ddemon.com, and other sites we own and operate.
We only ask for personal information when we truly need it to provide a service to you. We collect it by fair and lawful means, with your knowledge and consent. We also let you know why we're collecting it and how it will be used.
What We Collect
We may collect the following information when you interact with our website:
- Contact form submissions — your name, email address, and message content. We also log your IP address and browser information to protect against spam and abuse.
- Newsletter subscriptions — your email address, along with a unique unsubscribe token. We also log your IP address and browser information at the time of sign-up.
We only retain collected information for as long as necessary to provide you with your requested service. What data we store, we'll protect within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use, or modification.
Game Services & Steam Integration
DDEMON Studio games that run on Steam communicate with our backend game servers. When you play one of these games, we may collect and store the following data:
- Steam ID — your unique Steam account identifier, provided by the Steam platform. We use this to authenticate your session and associate your game data with your account. It is never shared publicly in a form that links to your real identity.
- Steam display name — your public Steam profile username, used to display your name on in-game leaderboards. This is the name you have chosen to make publicly visible on Steam.
- In-game data — gameplay statistics and progress values such as currency balances (e.g. coin count), scores, and other game-state information. This data is stored on our servers to enable game features including leaderboards, cloud save, and game data persistence across sessions.
- Anti-cheat signals — session integrity data used to detect and prevent cheating. This may include timing data, action sequences, and statistical patterns. This data is analysed automatically and is not used to identify you outside of the context of fair-play enforcement.
This data is collected solely to operate game services. It is retained for as long as you have an active game record or until you request deletion. Steam IDs and display names are public information defined and controlled by Valve Corporation — please refer to the Steam Privacy Policy for details on how Valve handles your Steam account data.
How We Use It
Information collected through the contact form is used solely to respond to your enquiry. Newsletter email addresses are used to send updates about DDEMON Studio games and announcements.
Game service data (Steam ID, display name, in-game statistics) is used exclusively to operate game features: authenticating players, displaying leaderboards, storing game progress, and maintaining fair-play integrity. This data is never sold, traded, or transferred to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
We don't share any personally identifying information publicly or with third-parties, except as required to by law or as described above (e.g. your display name on a public leaderboard, which you have chosen to make public via Steam).
